Background Information:

Personnel from TSBA and the State Department of Education’s Office of Coordinated School Health met to review the model wellness policy.  In an effort to ensure district’s interact and participate with the Office of Coordinated School Health, a few changes were made to our current policy. After reviewing the new policy with Ms. Homra, she suggested that TSBA’s proposed policy be adopted to replace our current policy.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the above-noted amendment to Board Policy #6.411 – Student Wellness, on first reading.
